Safeguarding ICH to strengthen social cohesion, promote cultural identity and social responsibility.
Mission
AMS PCI jointly mobilizes public structures and NGOs, while strengthening awareness-raising initiatives to better introduce communities to the 2003 Convention and its flourishing mission and the sustainable transmission of ICH to future generation

Relevant projects and initiatives
The Association works in several areas: oral traditions and expressions (Mahdra, Theydine), social practices (weddings and traditional games), rituals and festive events, knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe, traditional craftsmanship. AMS PCI conducts research on the traditional fishing of the Imraguens, it inventories traditional games practiced by young people and women, as well as know-how about traditional craftsmanship in partnership with the CNAM (National Chamber of Crafts and Trades), the institution that brings together all the craftsmen’s federations in Mauritania.
