We exist to promote an appreciation of culture as vital for human development that responds to our diverse identities.

Mission
The Cross-Cultural Foundation of Uganda –CCFU– was founded in 2005 as a national non-government organisation that promotes culture, intangible and tangible, as a key component of Uganda’s development agenda. It was established on the premise that

The Cross-Cultural Foundation of Uganda is active in the areas of intangible cultural heritage safeguarding and promotion, cultural rights promotion and management of cultural diversity. It is supporting programs and initiatives to preserve aspects of Uganda’s rich cultural heritage, rallying support to community museums and safeguarding built heritage. To date, CCFU is fostering heritage education, culture and conservation in and across Uganda and is in the process of establishing a heritage trust, The Heritage Conservation Trust of Uganda. It has served for several years as a member of the Evaluation Body.
