Capacity-building workshop

This capacity-building workshop will equip participants with the knowledge and skills for intangible cultural heritage safeguarding in Romania within a sustainable development perspective, while ensuring community empowerment, local participation, and social equity. It is targeting professionals in culture management, museology, environmental conservation, heritage education, youth engagement, community initiatives and local development.

This initiative is organized by the Regional Centre for Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in South-Eastern Europe under the auspices of UNESCO (Sofia, Bulgaria), and the Ministry of Culture in Romania with the support of the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant in Bucharest. The workshop will be facilitated by Ms Ioana Baskerville, and Mr Julio Sa Rego, members of UNESCO’s Global Network of Facilitators under the UNESCO 2003 Convention.
