With over fifteen years of experience in cultural cooperation, Liza has experience in implementing UNESCO’s culture programmes at UNESCO Headquarters and Field Offices in Latin America and the Caribbean. She has expertise in implementing the 2003 UNESCO Convention at the international and national levels, working with Indigenous Peoples issues, cultural policies and evaluating projects related to ICH in emergencies. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology and Art History, as well as a Master’s in Preservation and Enhancement of Cultural Heritage from Sorbonne University, Paris. Liza also holds an Expert Degree in Indigenous Peoples, Human Rights, and International Cooperation from the Intercultural Indigenous University and Carlos III University of Madrid.
