Mme Emily Drania Drani

Emily Drania Drani is a co-founder and former Executive Director of the Cross-Cultural Foundation of Uganda, an organisation which promotes a ‘culture in development’ approach, examining the link between culture and sustainable development. Under the 2003 Convention, Emily has carried out trainings on Community-Based Inventorying, Nominations, International Assistance and Safeguarding intangible cultural heritage. She has participated in the analysis of periodic reports (Africa) and policy frameworks on the integration of intangible cultural heritage. Emily who has served on the 2003 Convention Evaluation Body, was trained as an intangible cultural heritage expert in 2011. Emily holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies focusing on Endogenous Development.
