Living Heritage of Nagaland: Exhibition and Symposium

Indigenous communities living in Nagaland in North East India are rich in intangible cultural heritage. Contact Base is working with communities in five districts to document and promote their living heritage with the support of German Consulate General Kolkata. On November 6, 2024, the Living Heritage of Nagaland: Exhibition and Symposium will be held in Dimapur to bring together policymakers, creative entrepreneurs, and community leaders to discuss collaborative strategies for safeguarding ICH. There will be an exhibition of innovative designs in basketry and natural fibers created through partnerships between national and international designers and crafts persons.
