She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in international relations, with an emphasis on Public Policy from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and a Diploma in Visual Anthropology from the Autonomous University of Mexico City. She serves as Mexico’s liaison officer for the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Since 2007, she has worked at the World Heritage Office of the National Institute of Anthropology and History of Mexico, where she holds the position of Deputy Director of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
