Martín Andrade-Pérez is a researcher at the Erigaie Foundation working on ICH since 2005. Between 2007 and 2011, he worked as an advisor at the Colombian Ministry of Culture for the implementation of the 2003 Convention and the design and implementation of national policies for the safeguarding of ICH. At Erigaie, he has developed participatory methodologies for safeguarding ICH and contributed to several nomination files for the UNESCO and national lists of ICH.
Martin was a member of the 2003 Convention Evaluation Body on behalf of Erigaie (2018-2021), serving as rapporteur in 2019. He has served as a consultant for UNESCO on capacity building and the safeguarding of ICH in conflict situations. Currently, he is a guest researcher at the Meertens Institute, a research institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a lecturer at the Master in Applied Museums and Heritage Studies at the Reinwardt Academy - Amsterdam University of the Arts.
