The Landskappleiken is an annual event and competition, widely regarded as the Norwegian national championship in traditional folk music and dance. It is a travelling event, hosted in a different location each year. The first edition was held in 1888 in Bø, Telemark.

As of 2024, the event is owned by FolkOrg – the Norwegian Organization for Folk Music and Dance. The local implementation of the event is carried out by regional hosts, typically one of the local folk music associations (spelemannslag) affiliated with FolkOrg. The Landskappleiken always features competitions in Hardanger fiddle, fiddle, diatonic button accordion (durspel), and traditional vocal music (kveding), as well as couple dance, group dance, and solo dance. It usually also includes competitions in jaw harp, langeleik, flute, and other traditional folk instruments.
The solo competition categories for Hardanger fiddle, fiddle, vocal music, couple dance, and halling dance are divided into classes D, C, B, and A.
Class C is for performers over 12 years of age, Class B is for those over 18, and Class A requires two previous results exceeding a defined point threshold in Class B.
Senior performers and dancers may compete in Class D, or they may choose to participate in Class B or A if qualified. Other solo instrument categories—such as diatonic accordion, flute, langeleik, jaw harp, and other traditional folk instruments—are divided into Senior (over 18 years of age) and Junior (12–18 years). The same age-based division applies to group and ensemble categories.

The book dedicated to the healing knowledge contains 18 articles from different parts of the world, sharing different traditions and experiences from the field. It is the result of a cooperation between the International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region (ICHCAP) and #HeritageAlive
