Raftsmen Journey
To celebrate the International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Sobrarbe Nabateros association invites you to embark on the “Raftsmen Journey” through two engaging activities:
Guided Tour
The current raftsmen and raftswomen will guide this route, explaining along the way the life and extinct tradition of the raftsmen. The trail will take participants through the forests where they cut the trees, the village where they lived, and a viewpoint where they will share insights about the journey they once undertook.
Documentary Screening
A documentary will be screened to explore how timber is transported in other countries, followed by the trailer of an upcoming documentary on the traditional logging practices of the Sierra de Cazorla-Segura region (southern Spain).

The event will take place on 19 October 2025 in Escalona, Muro de Bellos and Laspuña (Sobrarbe, Huesca, Spain).
