«Pe tutt’e nisciuno», a music clip to celebrate the International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage

On the occasion of the first International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage the UNESCO-accredited NGO Associazione Sant’Antuono & le Battuglie di Pastellessa and Pastellesse Sound Group “I bottari di Macerata Campania” – both based in Macerata Campania (Italy) – with the patronage of the Municipality of Letino (Italy) present the music clip of the song «Pe tutt’e nisciuno», written by Donato Capuano in Neapolitan language, re-proposing the ancient Music of Sant’Antuono performed by beating farming instruments, such as barrels, vats and scythes, that is an identifying element of the Community of Macerata Campania (Italy).

Guest in the audio-visual production is the Ècole d’Art et Ballet association based in San Prisco (Italy), which proposes a typical dance on the notes of the song that gives the listener a strong message of peace and equality between peoples. In the creation of the music clip, Letino (Italy) has been used as a location, a small mountain village inside the Matese Regional Park that is a protected natural area of Campania region in Southern Italy, creating a strong link between territory and living heritage, underlining the ICH encounter between different communities.

The purpose of the activity is to educate and raise awareness among new generations of the ICH values and the importance of the safeguarding according to the 2003 Convention principles, while promoting the contribution of living heritage to sustainable development, in a song and dance celebration that represent the uppermost cultural masterpiece that has stood the test of time. The music clip, which will be uploaded to YouTube and will remain available even at the end of the activity, will be presented online on the NGO’s channels.
