In celebration of the International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage 2026, the Clean Climate and Environment Campaign Initiative is hosting an interactive workshop and educational seminar focused on the vital intersection between living heritage and environmental sustainability.

Intangible cultural heritage—encompassing traditional ecological knowledge (TEK), oral agricultural practices, indigenous water management, and sustainable craftsmanship—plays a fundamental yet often overlooked role in modern climate adaptation and biodiversity preservation. As local ecosystems face escalating threats from climate change, safeguarding these living traditions becomes essential not only for cultural identity but also for environmental resilience. This initiative brings together local community leaders, environmentalists, cultural custodians, and youth to highlight how age-old local practices can inform and strengthen contemporary climate action.

Key Objectives Promote Awareness: Highlight the role of intangible cultural heritage in fostering sustainable environmental stewardship and local climate resilience.
