‘Gevatter Tod’ Puppet Theatre and ‘Wir bleiben in Rufweite! Barbara und Frieder Simon’ exhibition

To celebrate Intangible Cultural Heritage Day, the Mitteldeutsche Marionettentheatermuseum in Bad Liebenwerda, which holds the title of Intangible German Cultural Heritage for the Kasper puppet show, presents a special programme honouring the legacy of Frieder Simon (1936–2020).

Jacob Simon, son of Frieder Simon, will perform his father’s renowned play ‘Gevatter Tod’ (Godfather Death), in which the character Kasper unexpectedly takes the lead. Visitors will also have the final opportunity to discover the museum’s annual exhibition ‘Wir bleiben in Rufweite! Barbara und Frieder Simon’ (We remain within earshot!
