Cetrería: El Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial más Internacional de la UNESCO
Dr. Javier Ceballos, Spain’s representative in the UNESCO dossier for the recognition of falconry as a Intangible Cultural Heritage ICH, organizes this event through his well-known Avium Escuela de Cetrería (Avium School of Falconry).
It is held in the auditorium of his former school, Nuestra Señora del Pilar in Madrid, Spain, with the participation of 130 sixth-grade children. Organized as part of the International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, it aims to introduce schoolchildren to the role of UNESCO and to discover falconry from a cultural perspective.
The presence of falconry birds will undoubtedly further capture the students’ attention. Their equipment boasts centuries of tradition.
