Gábor Soós, PhD is AI Innovation Strategic Advisor at Hungary’s Ministry of Science and Technology and former Secretary-General of the Hungarian National Commission for UNESCO. A member of UNESCO’s Global Facilitators’ Network since 2010, he works on safeguarding living heritage through community-based, educational and intercultural approaches. He has long experience with UNESCO culture conventions, ICH and World Heritage coordination, capacity-building, policy development and international cooperation. His recent work links living heritage with place-based learning, youth engagement, water-related cultural landscapes, digital/AI-supported interpretation and ethical innovation, with particular attention to Central and Eastern Europe and interregional cooperation.
