Historian, with a interdiciplinary PhD in Anthropology and History (Program of Ethnic and African Studies at the University of Bahia - UFBA/Brazil), I was an invited researcher at the Department of Anthropology at the City University of New York/USA (2018-2019) and a Research Associate at the Smithsonian Center of Folklife and Cultural Heritage/USA (2019-2022). I am a civil servant at the Institute of National Historical and Artistic Heritage in Brazil since 2010, with experience in the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage, cultural public policy management, and Afro Brazilian cultural heritage areas.
