Valentina Lapiccirella Zingari is a PhD freelance cultural anthropologist, developing participatory approaches in the process of heritage-making. She is scientific director, for the NGO Associazione Giochi Antichi (AGA/AEJEST), of the community-based process of “Tocatì, a shared programme for the safeguarding of Traditional Games and Sports”, selected in 2022 for the Register of Good Safeguarding Practices. She has coordinated and managed ICH inventories, nominations, training workshops and safeguarding plans, and is active in the domain of food heritage safeguarding. She is member of the Working Group Research of the ICH NGO Forum, contributing at different levels to the life of the Forum and the implementation of the Convention.
