Meeza Ubaid, an Architect and ICH expert holds a master’s degree in World Heritage and Cultural Projects for Development, awarded Cum Laude from ITCILO in Turin, Italy, in 2019. Her expertise lies in Community-Based Inventorying of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Cultural Heritage Management, Gender and ICH, and Safeguarding of ICH. She has extensive experience of over eight years in working with both tangible and intangible cultural heritage, as well as marginalized and minority communities. She has been involved in safeguarding the heritage of the Kalasha Community, the smallest indigenous community of Pakistan, since 2016.

Ms. Ubaid has been the honorary Secretary to the THAAP Heritage, (UNESCO accredited NGO) Pakistan. She is also a visiting lecturer at two architectural universities in Karachi: Indus Valley School and the National Engineering University (NED). Furthermore, she is engaged in conducting Community-Based Inventories of traditional practices and ICH of coastal fishing communities along the Pakistani coastline.
