Mr Antoine Gauthier

Antoine Gauthier has been CEO of the Quebec Council for Living Heritage (CQPV) since 2009. Within this umbrella organization, he has led several projects, consultations, conferences, training and publications. As an expert in intangible cultural heritage and a specialist in the 2003 UNESCO Convention, he is regularly required to give lectures and workshops. Several of his articles have appeared in national or international works. He also acted as co-founder of the ICH NGO Forum. Mr. Gauthier holds a master’s degree in international relations from Laval University (law, economics & political science) as well as a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Montreal. He previously worked within the Organization of World Heritage Cities. As a folk musician and researcher, he has been honoured by several grants from the arts councils of Quebec and Canada.
