Ms Ismahen Ben Barka

Ismahen. Ben Barka is currently a researcher, at the National Institute of Heritage in Tunis (INP), in charge of research in the department of inventory and study of ethnographic properties and contemporary arts, as well as ethnographic museums in the Tunisian Sahel. She holds a doctorate in historical anthropology and participated in all the training workshops organized by UNESCO in Tunisia. Former Curator of Heritage at the INP, she worked on several INP projects related to intangible cultural heritage: know-how related to traditional crafts, traditional food practices, traditional games. Thus, she has specific experiences in inventory, research and documentation work. She is also the author of several publications.
