Intangible Cultural Heritage Youth Forum
This event is an awareness campaign for high school students to celebrate International Intangible Cultural Heritage Day. The goal is to educate students about the importance of ICH and highlight Bahrain’s rich heritage. The objectives of the event are to spread awareness amongst students about the importance of intangible cultural heritage in our communities, to give a brief description on the UNESCO 2003 Convention and its importance in safeguarding intangible cultural heritage, to share examples of Bahrain’s intangible cultural heritage, and finally to inspire students to consider university majors related to heritage. The event will include bearers and practitioners from the local community to give a presentation about their crafts.
