Andrea is an archaeologist specializing in heritage in emergencies, and presently undertaking research on cultural pathways to climate action in the Caribbean focusing on traditional knowledge systems. Andrea has implemented capacity-building projects, and needs assessments, supported the development of nominations to the Lists and safeguarding plans, and worked on integrating ICH into cultural policies. An expert for heritage in emergencies, she has supported the inclusion of ICH in various Post Disaster Needs Assessments and the policy development for the response and recovery of the global Culture Sector.
