Edaly has a master’s Degree in International Relations Studies with focus in Public Policies, and also Diplomas in Visual Anthropology and in Anthropological Surveying. With over 17 years of experience in the field of living heritage safeguarding, Edaly has worked at the World Heritage Office of the National Institute of Anthropology and History of Mexico, where she holds a position as Deputy Director of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Mexico’s focal point for the 2003 Convention’s periodic reporting. Her main experiences include capacity-building workshops for the implementation of the 2003 Convention; conceptual and editorial coordination of publications; expert advice on the preparation of nominations for the Representative List and the elaboration of Safeguarding Plans.
