Mme Desiree Ramos Tozi

Desiree holds a master degree in Social History from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a specialization in Public Management from the Brazilian Nacional School of Public Administration (ENAP). She has a PhD in Ethnic and African Studies from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). Ms. Ramos Tozi conducted a research internship at the Department of Anthropology in the City University of New York and served as a Research Associate at the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage (USA).

She is a civil servant at the Institute of National Historical and Artistic Heritage of Brazil and currently serves as the Director of Articulation and Governance at the Ministry of Culture of Brazil. She has extensive experience in the areas of cultural heritage and public policy management.
