Helga Janse is currently working as a Curator at the National Museums of World Culture in Sweden, where she is focusing on Asian cultural heritage. She has previously lived in Japan for over 10 years. She obtained her PhD from the University of Tsukuba in 2020 and did a PostDoc research project at the Tokyo National Research Institute for Cultural Properties as a JSPS International Research Fellow. She has previously worked for the Swedish National Heritage Board and was part of the national working group tasked with developing a master plan for the implementation of the 2003 convention in Sweden.
