I started my relationship with intangible cultural heritage in 2001. I joined the Egyptian Folk Traditions Society and I am a member of the Egyptian Heritage House, taking part in several activities regarding the 2003 Convention. I have facilitated workshops both inside and outside Egypt, within UNESCO Egypt and other organizations. I participated in the preparation and training of national capacities in Egypt to inventory intangible cultural heritage and contributed to the publication, in cooperation with the UNESCO Regional Office in Cairo, of a book entitled: National Capacity Building on Inventorying the Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
