The ICH NGO Forum will hold its symposium on the theme of “Living Heritage, Climate Change and the Environment” during the Seventeenth session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage on Sunday 27th November in Rabat, Morocco.

A call for papers has been launched, and applicants are invited to submit abstracts documenting the effects of climate change in living heritage and reflecting creatively about how living heritage is a source of resilience in natural disasters and environmental changes. Speakers from different regions and fields are invited to share their diverse experiences to nourish conversations and thinking on the safeguarding and mobilization of living heritage.


Practitioners and scholars from different fields are encouraged to send an abstract of 100 words, in English or French, to Laurier Turgeon (laurier.turgeon@hst.ulaval.ca) by 28th October, midnight.
