Connie Rapoo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Botswana. She also sits in the Board of Directors of the National Arts Council of Botswana, a state-owned entity whose mandate is to promote Botswana’s arts and culture sector. Rapoo has served in the national committee for the implementation of the 2003 Convention since 2008. As an academic, Prof. Rapoo incorporates ICH in the university curriculum and community engagement initiatives with the University partners. She has published extensively in the areas of Botswana intangible cultural heritage, indigenous performance traditions, and creative industries
