Ms Emily Drania Drani

Emily Drania Drani is a co-founder and former Executive Director of the Cross-Cultural Foundation of Uganda, an organisation dedicated to promoting the value of a ‘culture in development’ approach. Emily has 18 years’ experience in cultural heritage development and promotion. She has served as Vice Chairperson and member of the UNESCO Evaluation Body for the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH). Emily was trained as an ICH expert in 2011 and has carried out ICH trainings in several countries. She holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies with a focus on Endogenous Development.
