Mr Salomón Bazbaz Lapidus

Salomón Bazbaz Lapidus is a cultural producer and co-founder of the “Cumbre Tajín Festival” and the “Centre for Indigenous Arts (CAI)”, an educational institution for the transmission of indigenous values through art and culture, which was selected in 2012 to the Register of Good Safeguarding Practices of the 2003 Convention. Salomon has coordinated the preparation of the nomination “Ritual Ceremony of the Voladores” to the Representative List (2009) and has founded the “State Council” for the safeguarding of the element. He is an author and editor of more than 100 books and magazines, and a collaborator of UNESCO Office in Mexico, having worked on the preparation of plans for the safeguarding of Maya culture.
