Placed on roadsides at village entrances, near monuments and in cemeteries, and linked to Catholic ceremonies and harvest celebrations, crosses are a symbol of the unity of the community. Title FR: En Lituanie, la création des croix évoque la fabrication des croix et des autels, mais aussi les rituels de consécration associés. Placées au bord des routes, à l’entrée des villages, près de monuments ou dans les cimetières, les croix sont liées aux cérémonies catholiques et aux fêtes de la moisson, et symbolisent l’unité de la communauté.
