Title as submitted EN: Whether spontaneously in local bars, or more formally at weddings, festivals and carnivals, Sardinian men gather to sing in circles of four. The leader sings verses, expressing both traditional and contemporary issues and the other singers respond in a complex polyphony that is marked by a deep voice quality.
Title as submitted FR: Pratiqué spontanément dans les bars ou lors d’occasions officielles comme les mariages, les festivals ou les carnavals, le Canto a tenore est exécuté par un groupe de quatre hommes chantant en cercle. Le soliste entonne un poème sur des sujets traditionnels ou ontemporains, les autres lui répondant dans une polyphonie complexe, marquée par le timbre grave des voix.

El solista entona los versos, de temática tradicional o contemporánea, y sus acompañantes responden con un complejo canto coral caracterizado por su profundidad vocal.
