Decision of the Intergovernmental Committee: 20.COM 11

The Committee,

  1. Having examined document LHE/25/20.COM/11 and its annexes,
  2. Recalling Decisions COM 11, 19.COM 10, 19.COM 15, and Resolution 10.GA 7,
  3. Acknowledges the interventions made by the Secretariat since its last session regarding a broader implementation of Article 18, and notes with satisfaction the steady progress towards the establishment of the online platform for sharing the good safeguarding experiences of communities worldwide;
  4. Further takes note of the revised roadmap for the full operationalization of the online platform, annexed to document LHE/25/20.COM/11;
  5. Thanks the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Korea for providing financial contributions to support the development of the platform, and encourages other States Parties and potential partners to financially support this initiative through the modality of their choice;
  6. Requests the Secretariat to report on the progress concerning the reflection on a broader implementation of Article 18 of the Convention for examination by the Committee at its twenty-first session.
