George Litswa holds a master’s degree in Heritage Studies majoring in management of ICH. Currently, he is the focal person on matters of intangible cultural heritage in the Ministry of Gender, Culture, the Arts and Heritage. He has worked extensively and intensively with communities in Kenya through training to create awareness about the 2003 Convention and how communities, bearers and cultural practitioners can implement the Convention alongside the national policies and legislation. He has been central in the preparation of periodic reports, nomination files, the coordination of ICH documentation activities, and the updating of local and national inventories.
